The Job
As a Metrology / Quality Technician, you support accurate and reliable measurement and inspection activities within our organization. You perform calibrations, dimensional measurements and quality inspections and ensure that measuring equipment and measurement results are properly managed and traceable. You work closely with the Quality and Production teams to support product quality and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with measuring equipment, technical drawings and quality activities in a high-tech manufacturing environment. You report to the QHSE Manager.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Perform calibrations and verifications of measuring equipment and maintain calibration records.
- Perform dimensional measurements and inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges and other measuring equipment.
- Support incoming, in-process and final inspections.
- Inspect materials and products against technical drawings and specifications.
- Record and follow up on measurement and inspection results.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials or products.
- Support investigations into measurement deviations, audits and improvement activities.
- Support production employees in the correct use of measuring equipment.
We are looking for
- MBO level qualification in a technical discipline, with at least 3 years of experience in an industrial environment.
- Experience in a manufacturing or high-tech environment is an advantage.
- Experience with measuring and inspection equipment.
- Basic knowledge of technical drawings and dimensional inspection.
- Knowledge of calibration and measurement equipment traceability is an advantage.
- Experience with CMM is an advantage.
- Experience with IQC or production inspections is an advantage.
- An accurate, structured and hands-on approach to work.
- Good communication skills and a strong team spirit.
- Good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
