As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an Inventory Controller who will take ownership of inventory accuracy and help drive continuous improvement across our warehouse operation.
The Role
As an Inventory Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring that our physical inventory and Warehouse Management System (WMS) remain fully aligned. You will investigate stock discrepancies, identify root causes, implement corrective actions and continuously improve inventory processes.
You will also take ownership of the inbound inventory process, ensuring all incoming goods are accurately received and booked into the system. This role requires someone who enjoys analysing problems, working with operational teams and driving improvements that have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of inventory accuracy throughout the warehouse.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly cycle counts.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and perform root cause analysis.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System.
- Take ownership of the inbound booking process and ensure all deliveries are received accurately and on time.
- Verify physical deliveries against purchase orders and supporting documentation.
- Monitor inventory movements and ensure all stock transactions are completed correctly.
- Work closely with Warehouse Team Leaders, Operations and Account Managers to resolve inventory issues.
- Prepare inventory reports and communicate findings to management.
- Identify trends and recommend process improvements to prevent recurring issues.
- Support customer stock investigations and inventory audits.
- Promote high standards of organisation, accuracy and operational excellence.
What we're looking for
- Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations or logistics.
- Experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
- Confident communicator who enjoys working with different departments.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Good command of the English language. Dutch is an advantage.
