Supplier & Quality Improvement Specialist

As a Supplier & Quality Improvement Specialist, you are the connecting link between suppliers, customers, Operations, and our QC team in China. You are responsible for coordinating and improving supplier and customer quality performance. You monitor quality issues, improvement actions, and their progress, with the goal of preventing problems structurally. In addition, you provide operational direction to the QC team in China and contribute to improving supplier performance, quality processes, and collaboration with suppliers.
TO DO LIST
Customer & Quality Management
- Coordinate and follow up on quality issues and improvement actions.
- Monitor progress, deadlines, and proper follow-up.
- Ensure clear communication with customers.
- Identify recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.
Supplier Quality & Follow-up
- Coordinate and align daily with the QC team in China.
- Actively follow up on supplier non-conformities and quality issues.
- Monitor root cause analyses and corrective actions.
- Challenge suppliers on follow-up, quality, and deadlines.
- Monitor supplier performance and quality trends.
- Travel when required for supplier visits or quality investigations.
Continuous Improvement
- Conduct root cause analyses using methodologies such as 5 Whys and CAPA.
- Initiate and coordinate improvement actions.
- Support process optimization and quality improvements.
- Contribute to reducing recurring issues.
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor's degree (HBO level) or equivalent working and thinking level.
- Experience in Quality, Operations, or Supply Chain.
- Experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or industrial environment is an advantage.
- Experience with supplier quality and quality improvement.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented.
- Professional command of the English language; Dutch is an advantage.
