Are you a hands‑on technician who enjoys helping customers and solving technical problems on the spot?
Then we have a great opportunity for you in our Service Department in Horst. As a Field Service Engineer, you work in intensive livestock farming, horticulture and storage technology. You check, test and start up our automation systems, both in the Netherlands and abroad. You are the link between the customer and the technology and you help customers and colleagues with technical questions.
Your tasks as a Field Service Engineer:
Checking, testing, and starting up automation systems, including programming, sensors, actuators, and hardware
Solving malfunctions and doing service visits for customers worldwide
Answering and registering technical questions from dealers, end users and colleagues
Preparing and guiding tests on location
When you are not working in the field, you support the global helpdesk by helping internal and external customers with technical questions by email or phone
Giving technical training to colleagues and dealers Providing technical support to Sales, Engineering, and Documentation Advising customers about technical options, requirements, and solutions
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
What we ask from you:
A Technical MBO 4 or Bachelor degree, such as Agrotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Industrial Automation
Affinity with poultry, livestock or crop storage
Willingness to travel internationally
Experience as a service or helpdesk technician (5 years is a plus)
Good Dutch and English skills; German is an advantage
Strong technical knowledge, preferably in electronics and automation
Analytical skills: you can understand and solve problems quickly and have a friendly and service‑oriented attitude
Experience with MS Office
