Marketplace Specialist
The Role
We are seeking a commercially minded Marketplace Specialist to take ownership of our marketplace presence and support the growth of our products across third-party sales channels.
You will be responsible for creating high-performing product listings, optimizing marketplace visibility, monitoring performance, and identifying growth opportunities. This is a hands-on role that combines content, analytics, competitor analysis, and operational coordination to ensure our products perform successfully across multiple marketplaces.
You will work closely with the Marketing, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams to ensure our marketplace presence is optimized, profitable, and aligned with our brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Marketplace Operations
- Create, launch, and optimize product listings across online marketplaces.
- Maintain and improve product titles, descriptions, bullet points, images, videos, and other listing content.
- Understand marketplace ranking algorithms and optimize listings to improve visibility, discoverability, and conversion rates.
- Ensure product listings remain active, compliant, accurate, and free from marketplace issues.
- Coordinate product launches, assortment updates, and promotional activities across marketplaces.
- Monitor customer reviews and ratings.
Marketplace Growth & Performance
- Identify, evaluate, and support expansion into new marketplace channels and sales opportunities.
- Analyse sales performance, profitability, conversion rate and rankings.
- Create regular reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
- Monitor competitor assortment, pricing, promotions, marketplace activity, and emerging market trends.
- Identify growth opportunities and create a growth roadmap for the marketplace.
- Collaborate with internal teams on promotional initiatives and visibility-driving activities.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in marketplace management, e-commerce, digital commerce, or a similar role.
- Familiar with bol.com and Amazon marketplaces
- Experience managing product listings and marketplace content.
- Strong understanding of how marketplace algorithms, rankings, and product visibility work.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commercially minded with a focus on growth and profitability.
- Self-starter with a proactive attitude and strong ownership mentality.
