SARC is looking for ambitious BSc or MSc students (TU Delft or similar) for an internship in maritime engineering and/or software development.
- ️ What you’ll be working on
At SARC, you’ll be part of a team of naval architects and engineers. Your work will depend on ongoing projects, but typically includes:
Performing calculations (intact and damaged stability, longitudinal strength)
Configuring LOCOPIAS, our onboard loading computer, for specific vessels
Assisting with hull measurements or inclining tests
Developing or refining hull forms and lines plans
Supporting users – sometimes on-site, even on board
We’ll tailor your tasks to your background and interests, and you’ll have the opportunity to work on a defined assignment for academic credit.
SARC, founded in 1980, is a highly specialized maritime engineering company based in Bussum, the Netherlands – centrally located and easily reachable from Delft by train.
We are known for developing PIAS (ship design software) and LOCOPIAS (onboard loading software), both of which are widely adopted in the Dutch maritime industry. In addition, we provide consultancy services in ship design and engineering.
