CBRE InvestmentAccounting & Reporting Solutions (IARS) is seeking a Lead Accountant tojoin our Amsterdam team. This role supports the delivery of high-qualityaccounting and reporting services for Dutch Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs),ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting in a dynamic,international environment.

KeyResponsibilities
FinancialAccounting & Reporting Review financial data prepared by Property Accountants to ensure accuracy and completeness Prepare and post month-end journal entries and maintain general ledger integrity Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including client reporting packages Produce statutory financial statements in compliance with Dutch regulations Perform balance sheet reconciliations and review reconciliations prepared by others
Control &Compliance Perform financial controls over reporting outputs and support SOC 1 control processes Ensure compliance with Dutch GAAP, IFRS, and internal accounting policies Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner
Cash &Liquidity Management Coordinate payment processes and cash movements Support VAT processes and liquidity forecasting activities
Audit &Continuous Improvement Assist with internal and external audit processes Contribute to process improvement initiatives and participate in project workstreams
StakeholderManagement Collaborate closely with Property Accountants, Client Accounting teams, and internal stakeholders Engage with clients, auditors, and external advisors where required Build strong working relationships to ensure service excellence and client satisfaction
Skills &Experience
Essential Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience Understanding of accounting principles, including Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS Experience in preparing financial statements and reconciliations Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively Fluent in English
Desirable Experience in real estate or property company accounting (PropCo structures) Knowledge of Yardi or similar accounting systems Dutch language skills
