Are you currently pursuing a degree in food technology or food & business? And would you like to discover what quality and food safety look like in practice within a food production environment? Then this internship at Merenda Foods is for you.

At Merenda Foods, we develop custom-made solutions that are perfectly tailored to our target audience, from babies and toddlers to preschoolers, children, and adults. Quality and food safety are our top priorities every day. As a Quality Intern, you’ll support the Quality, Sustainability & Safety department with various tasks on the production floor. You’ll gain a solid understanding of quality control within a professional food environment and have the opportunity to actively participate in daily inspections and improvement initiatives.

What does the position entail?

Assist with quality control checks on raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
Assist with conducting and documenting quality and hygiene checks on the production floor.
Learn about food safety systems such as HACCP and BRC and how to apply them in practice.
Assist in handling discrepancies and complaints, and in improving quality processes.
Developing and maintaining a sampling plan
Implementing various quality projects
