As a Photography Assistant Intern, you will support our in-house Photographer who is responsible for all photography across Dorel brands, including Maxi-Cosi. Your mission is to assist the full photography pipeline. — From pack shots to lifestyle content, in studio and on location. Working from our Eindhoven studio, you will play a key role across pre-production, shoot days and post-production, contributing both creatively and operationally, while gaining hands on experience in a professional photography environment.
Pre‑production
- Support the photographer in preparing for upcoming shoots
- Co-create and manage shot lists and mood boards
- Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders who request content, asking clarifying questions when needed
- Check that all required documents, products and approvals are available and complete before the shoot in the correct folders
On‑set (Studio & Location)
- Assist the photographer during shoots
- Prepare the set before, and help adjust lighting and shooting setups during te shoot
- Ensure batteries are charged, equipment is ready and products are prepped
- Support with file naming and ensure images are correctly linked to the agreed naming conventions
- Actively anticipate what the photographer needs to keep the shoot running efficiently
Post‑production
- Support backing up all image files to the correct folders and channels
- Create a first selection of images (e.g. selecting the sharpest and technically correct shots)
- Share selections with Brand and Product teams for further selection
- Coordinate post‑production workflows with our external retouching agency
- Manage feedback, comments and deadlines in post‑production
- Brief retouching updates clearly and on time
- Retouch images yourself
- You are currently studying photography, multimedia, design or a similar creative field
- You are hands‑on, proactive and highly organized
- You like working both independently and as part of a creative team
- You are comfortable supporting high‑volume shoots and can handle repetitive tasks with attention to detail
- You are not afraid to ask questions and communicate clearly with different stakeholders
- You have basic to solid skills in Adobe Photoshop (experience with retouching is a strong plus)
- You have an interest in studio photography, lighting and workflows
- You are flexible, reliable and enjoy being on set
- You have a practical, can‑do mindset and a calm attitude under pressure
