Tess van Zalinge is looking for a master tailor intern.
At our Amsterdam-based atelier, we work with a small, multidisciplinary team, and we’re currently looking for a master tailor talent to join us. We offer a dynamic internship within a young and inspiring work environment, where you’ll play an essential role from the start, giving you both creative freedom and real responsibilities. You‘ll collaborate closely with the designer, becoming an integral part of the team. Your ideas and input will be truly valued. Your responsibilities will include;
- Conducting and translating designs and ideas into patterns.
- Creating prototypes for fittings and executing them with precision.
- Assisting with the development of the collection—from the first sketch to the final presentation.
- Optimizing the technical department and archive of the label.
- Assisting with fittings, repairs, adjustments, and modifications of designs.
- Being responsible for archiving patterns and samples.
- Participating during creative days and team sessions.
- Supporting the team with daily activities and operations.
Competences we're looking for;
- You live in (or near) Amsterdam.
- You are currently studying or have graduated from a Master Tailor apprenticeship or a related field.
- You master relevant techniques of pattern making, tailoring, and sewing.
- You have experience working with woven materials and knits.
- You’re communicative, creative, and comfortable writing in both English and Dutch.
- You’re proactive, flexible, and organized, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
