Our Company
Big Green Smile exists to make sustainability the norm by reshaping how people shop. We believe consumerism can and should be more sustainable and ethically focused. Our role is to make it easier for people to make better choices every day.
Founded in 2008 as a single e-commerce site, Big Green Smile now operates across the UK, Benelux, Germany and France, alongside supporting direct-to-consumer operations for other brands in the sustainability space. We aim to empower conscious consumers by showcasing high-quality sustainable products, engaging and informing customers, and continuously improving our business and supply chain to create positive social, economic and environmental impact.
Big Green Smile is an inclusive company, and we know we are stronger when every member of our team feels respected, included and heard.
Job Overview
This is a hands-on, CRM-led digital marketing role in a small, fast-moving business, responsible for our UK email channel. We have a strong base of returning customers who value shopping with us, and you will build on those relationships through relevant, well-executed communications that drive repeat purchase and support sustainable revenue growth.
Working from agreed commercial priorities, customer insight and campaign performance, you will own the CRM plan and its end-to-end delivery, from prioritisation and briefing through to build, quality assurance, deployment, reporting, testing and optimisation.
The majority of your time will be focused on CRM and email. You will also support selected content and digital channel activity as part of agreed business priorities. You will have autonomy over day-to-day delivery, working collaboratively with stakeholders and using your judgement to focus effort where it will have the greatest customer and commercial impact.

- Monitor list health, deliverability and customer-response signals, taking action where needed
Performance, testing and optimisation
- Own regular reporting on UK email activity and agreed commercial and customer measures
- Turn results into clear conclusions, recommendations and next actions
- Maintain a focused testing and optimisation plan, prioritised by likely customer and commercial impact

- Update website or blog content through the CMS where this supports an agreed campaign

Ways of working
- Plan and manage your workload independently, focusing effort on the activity with the greatest customer and commercial impact
