The office assistant is responsible for answering all incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner. The office assistant is the first point of contact for each of our guests and therefore, friendly professionalism is of the utmost importance. The office greets guests who enter the office and assists them with their questions. While phones are the priority, developing contracts for renters is also important. Communication with the rental groups from creating a file to following up on the paperwork is essential. As time permits, the Office Assistant assists the Office Manager and other departments with reports and data entry, as well as various assigned projects.
Qualifications:
Experience with computers and excellent phone skills
Strong public relations and communication skills
Cheerful Christian servant attitude towards people of all ages and dispositions
High School diploma
Responsibilities:
Provide high quality service to meet the needs and requirements of employees, guest groups, campers, the general public and vendors
Answer phone calls in a courteous manner
Responsible for scheduling phone coverage when not scheduled or not available during business hours
Take detailed phone messages and direct them to appropriate departments and personnel
Attend to all delivery companies that enter office during business hours
Use two way business radio to communicate with staff, camper needs and incoming phone calls
Follow up contract phone call to renters
Maintain contracting calendars and files for office
Data entry for our own program registrations
Package, mail and lost & found items
Various miscellaneous projects as assigned
Assemble board meeting packets under the supervision of the Executive Director
Maintain camping calendar for board and staff
Pick up and distribute mail on days scheduled to work
