Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Perform visual thread inspection (VT), magnetic particle (MT), liquid penetrant (PT.
- Inspect and evaluate BHA tools, premium connections in accordance with API, DS-1 and NS-2 procedures.
- Accurately document inspection results, complete reports and immediately report non-conformances.
- Calibrate and maintain NDT equipment and precision measuring tools (lead gauges, MRP gauges, profile gauges, micrometers, etc.).
- Verify materials and components meet required quality standards before release to the next stage or shipment.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment and actively promote safety awareness.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on NDT experience in manufacturing, fabrication or oilfield services (drill pipe, downhole tools).
- Current or recently expired NDT Level II certifications in two or more methods strongly preferred (MT, PT).
- Strong working knowledge of API specifications, DS-1, NS-2 thread inspection and related oil & gas standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, procedures and acceptance criteria.
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments and inspection gauges.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining a strong team player.
- Computer literate (MS Office; experience with quality/inspection software is an advantage).
