About the role
Are you an organised logistics professional with a passion for transportation and supply chain operations? As a Freight Forwarder, you play a key role in ensuring our customers' shipments are handled efficiently from start to finish. You will work closely with customers, carriers and colleagues while coordinating domestic and international transport activities.
Based at our modern warehouse and office on the Maasvlakte, you will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, manage the administrative processing of import and export movements, and prepare the necessary transport documentation. Thanks to your proactive mindset, attention to detail and problem-solving skills, you are able to keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Your responsibilities
As a Freight Forwarder within our Logistics department, you are the central point of contact for transport operations. You support your colleagues in ensuring that customer shipments are handled efficiently and professionally.
Your responsibilities include:
- Coordinating inbound and outbound shipments through our modern racked warehouse.
- Handling import and export shipments by sea freight, road transport and container transport.
- Registering logistics services in our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Maintaining daily contact with customers and proactively resolving operational issues.
- Preparing transport documentation, including CMR consignment notes, loading lists and unloading lists.
What you bring
- MBO-4 or Bachelor's (HBO) level of working and thinking.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken. Dutch is an advantage.
- Customer-focused attitude with a strong commitment to quality.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and take ownership of your work.
- Experience with or affinity for Warehouse Management Systems (preferably Softpak).
- Knowledge of customs documentation and excise goods procedures is considered an advantage.
