Mission
Become the linchpin in our Purchasing organization! If you're looking to
get into an international career and are willing to relocate to the
Netherlands, this role is for you! As a Commodity Buyer, you define and
coordinate the strategies that optimize the quality and cost of our
products.
As a Commodity Buyer, you represent one of the commodities within
Cleantech, which is organized according to a matrix structure. RAVO, part
of the Cleantech organization, plays an important role in this. In this
position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing
strategies that contribute to the efficiency and sustainability of our
procurement processes for the Commodity Hydraulics.
You will be part of RAVO's local procurement team and report both to RAVO's
Supply Chain Manager and functionally to your Commodity Manager. Your
expertise and strategic insight are crucial to the success of our
organization.
What will you do?
As a Commodity Buyer, you have the following main tasks:
- Coordinating the Commodity Team;
- Define, roll out and monitor the commodity strategy;
- Managing the supplier portfolio and dealing with critical suppliers;
- Participate in meetings and global negotiations with key suppliers;
- Stimulating and co-managing technical savings with engineering;
- Participate in make-or-buy decisions.
Profil recherché
Who will you be working for?
The ideal profile for a Commodity Buyer has:
- HBO working and thinking level, preferably in the field of purchasing
management or supply chain management;
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
- You have excellent communication skills in English in word and
writing. Dutch is an advantage;
- You are able to flexibly combine both your soft skills and a
result-oriented approach;
- You are flexible, proactive and have a solution-oriented mind-set;
- You are able to motivate, inspire and guide the team towards
achieving the objectives of Cleantech;
- Technical knowledge or affinity is required.
In addition to these things, your personality is of course at least as
important. With your communication skills, you are able to formulate and
argue clearly. You are stress-resistant and naturally committed to optimal
business results. In addition, you are willing to travel for work, which is
essential for this position. Finally, you fit well within RAVO's corporate
culture if you are an inquisitive team player.
