As an Intern in the EMEA Cash Application, you will support the Finance Operations Team in processing, reconciling and analyzing customer payments. Your responsibilities will include cash payment reconciliation and reporting for B2C and B2B customers. This role provides hands-on experience in accounts receivable operations, bank reconciliation, automation initiatives and financial reporting, offering valuable exposure to the day-to-day functioning of finance department.
You are expected to have excellent skills in communicating with internal stakeholders and to oversee complex cash application and account reconciliation activities. With this role, you will be part of an international team of Financial Specialists and Analysts and will have the opportunity to enhance your skills and help you understand how the company operates on a larger scale.
What You'll Do-
Applying customer payments for B2B and B2C customers to the correct accounts in our ERP system

Resolve queries on received, missing and unidentified payments in cross collaboration with the respective stakeholders

Perform daily cash reconciliation between bank statements and accounting records

Research and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash, coordinating with respective stakeholders

Preparing Cash application reports and maintaining documentation for audit and compliance purposes

Liaise with other Tesla Departments, such as Product, Delivery and Service Teams

Reporting and data analysis activities, reviewing accounts receivable aging

Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned by the supervisor
What You'll Bring-
Pursuing a study in Finance, Economic, Accounting or related areas

Accounts receivable/credit control experience

Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy

Basic understanding of accounting principles (knowledge of AR processes is a plus)

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with all MS Office tools

Ability to work independently while being a team player

Level C1 in English (written and spoken)
