This is a new position, part of Odido’s large-scale investment and expansion in Artificial Intelligence, as we move toward a future where AI helps make every customer interaction more personal, efficient, and human.
As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll develop and apply advanced predictive and generative AI models that directly influence our commercial performance and customer interactions. You’re not just a data expert, you’re a creator of smarter, more human experiences.
Your deep knowledge of both data science and telecom enables you to design human-like, conversational AI that enhances how customers connect with us across multiple channels. Most of your time will be spent working on Natural Language Processing (NLP), powering chatbot and voicebot solutions using the latest Generative AI models.
This role focuses on scaling and expanding current initiatives using cutting-edge LLMs. You’ll help internal teams work more efficiently, for example, by creating Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) models to support customer service agents, while also setting up new frameworks that empower customers to find answers faster and smarter.
You’ll collaborate across departments, translating complex data into real business value. That means delivering POCs that matter, converting them into production-ready systems together with our data engineers, and communicating your insights with clarity, tact, and confidence.
You’ll be close to customer feedback, learning fast, iterating often, and helping shape Odido’s evolution into a truly data-driven organization.

You’ll join our Data Science team, part of the Information Technology (IT) department; A diverse and ambitious group of experts from three continents. We work closely with both technical and non-technical teams across Odido.
You’ll collaborate with colleagues in B2C, B2B, Finance, and Technology, building models designed for production from day one.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

Master’s degree (WO) in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science

4–7 years’ experience as a (Senior) Data Scientist, preferably within telecom

Deep knowledge of AI/ML and hands-on experience with Generative AI

Proven experience with LLMs (essential)

Strong experience with libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, H2O, XGBoost, Scikit-learn, Hyperopt

Skilled in deploying solutions on AWS and on-prem environments

Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Git (essential); experience with Docker, Drone, and Airflow is a plus

Must live in The Netherlands
Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with text-to-image models

Experience with diverse algorithms (deep learning, regression, decision trees, gradient boosting, reinforcement learning)

Knowledge of the Google AI stack for Natural Language Processing
