The job
As Group Financial Controller you will be a member of our Consolidation & Reporting team. The team led by Lionel Parry currently consists of 5 team members based in our Rotterdam office. You will play a key role in supporting the Group Finance function across the Cefetra Group, contributing to the monthly consolidation and reporting process, internal audit activities and a variety of Group finance projects. Your tasks and responsibilities will relate to:

Group financial reporting: Prepare and analyse the monthly consolidation and reporting package using Tagetik, perform financial analyses and support ad hoc finance projects.

Internal audit & business improvement: Coordinate the Group's internal audit activities by defining the annual audit scope and planning. Together with colleagues, perform approximately five on-site audits per year across the Netherlands, Europe and occasionally other regions. Beyond assessing internal controls, you will identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.

International collaboration: Work closely with finance teams across the Cefetra Group, supporting local entities throughout the monthly reporting process and acting as a trusted finance business partner.

Business understanding: Develop a solid understanding of our trading activities, including commodity markets, forward positions, hedging strategies and the financial impact of commercial decisions.

Decision support: Contribute proactively to finance meetings by providing insightful analyses, recommendations and performance reporting to support decision-making.

M&A and integration: Support acquisitions and post-merger integration activities, including the integration of newly acquired entities into the Group reporting process, purchase price allocation (PPA) support and collaboration with local finance teams during the integration process.
Who you are
To be successful within Cefetra, it is important to have a 'self-starter' mentality, to be open-minded, accurate and curious. You should be able to work both independently and with people from all levels within the Cefetra Group. You should also be able to identify with the following requirements:

Your educational background is equivalent to a master’s degree in business administration or accountancy.

You have at least 6 years of relevant experience in an international environment, preferably gained within a Big 4 firm, or as a (financial) controller or similar role in an international organization.

You are IT savvy with strong experience with Microsoft Excel and preferably with consolidation tools (Tagetik) and BI tools.

You possess strong verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
