Research Infrastructure: research collaboration without roadblocks
The strategic program ‘Research Infrastructure’ works on facilitating research in all schools, by providing technical support, but also training, awareness and community building. Research Infrastructure is in an important phase, in which it is key to work on making our activities and deliverables concrete, sustainable and endorsed by the organization. It is also the most operational phase, as some of the deliverables just need some diligent work.
Your position
Are you a motivated student who enjoys organizing events, promoting and marketing campaigns, communicating with stakeholders, and working in a fast paced and academic environment? The Research infrastructure program is looking for a proactive and reliable Student Assistant to support its daily operations and contribute to its mission of facilitating and improving research across borders.
Job description
- Creating promotional materials for events and campaigns organized by the program.
- Create quarterly newsletters for our community.
- Office management roles, such as booking rooms, catering, administrative procedures around it, as well as communicating proactively with the organizers about their needs.
- Communication tasks such as updating events on Libcal and other communication tools.
- Updating webpages in the RSP upon request.
- Supporting project management (e.g., taking minutes, preparing PowerPoint slides).
Requirements
- You are enrolled as a student at Tilburg University and have obtained at least 60 ECTS in a university bachelor's program or are following a master's program.
- Minimum CEFR level C1 English and Dutch proficiency is a plus.
- Able to coordinate multiple tasks and events simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Comfortable interacting with different stakeholders (academics, university staff, external partners).
- Able to create and promote promotional material (posters, event invites).
- Able to take accurate meeting minutes and follow up on action points.
- Proactive and self-motivated, can work independently and take ownership.
- Confident using Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Office Tools and Canva and/or Adobe for promotional materials.
- Dependable and consistent in meeting deadlines and commitments.
What do we offer?
Tilburg University offers excellent benefits in a pleasant working environment:
- Employment of 0,2 fte – 0,4 fte (8-16 hours per week).
- Salary between € 3.084,- and € 3.141,- gross per month for full-time employment (UFO profile Student Assistant, salary scale SA). Salary depends on how many ECTS the student has obtained.
- This is a vacancy for a Student Assistant who provides support for non-structural and operational tasks in accordance with article 2.3 paragraph 6 sub f CLA Dutch Universities. Application to this vacancy is only possible if you are registered as a student at Tilburg University and have at least 60 ECTS. You will be given a temporary contract for the duration of 12 months.
- Vacation pay of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3%.
- More than 8 weeks of vacation leave.
