What to Expect
Tesla is looking for a Tooling Engineer to join our team in EMEA Service Tooling Engineering to work with one of the most progressive vehicle brands in the world. This position requires a significant amount of interaction with our internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will work closely with all teams within Technical Development. (Technical Publications, Service Tooling Engineering, Body Repair Tooling, Service Development and Tooling Readiness). This position is a key contributor to our Service Organization and is based in Tilburg NL. What You'll Do
- Help establish the team’s presence in the EMEA market by understanding and implementing our market-specific requirements

Identify and develop practical solutions to enable fast, seamless, and revolutionary service

Collaborate effectively with engineers, regional technical operations leads, service leads and technicians, and global tooling team to understand issues in service and resolve them in market

Convert tooling requirements and specifications from engineers and technicians into actionable procurement items while keeping in mind safety, cost minimization and timing urgency

Use CATIA/Solid Works to create tooling to specification in line with common industry practices.

Create tooling prototypes and run validation testing

Work closely with designated Tesla tooling distributors to define off-the-shelf tooling selection, implementation, and maintain tracking

What You'll Bring
- Few years of work experience in tooling and/or equipment design, or equivalent

Degree in B.S in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive or related engineering field
- Excellent fundamental engineering knowledge and have examples of applied engineering success through work, projects, or academic endeavors

Proven ability to research information, solve challenging problems, and coordinate projects under tight timing constraints

Hands on experience building mechanical and/or electrical systems

Familiarity with working with various outside suppliers and managing deliverable

Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality

GD&T, FEA experience preferred, automotive, marine, aerospace industry a plus

Familiarity with Regulatory compliance is a plus- (OSHA, CE, CCC, ASME related standards)
