Focus areas: Payroll, statutory and compliance, general HR administration
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced HR professional to manage payroll operations, statutory compliance, employee records, and general administrative activities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Dutch labor laws, payroll processing, compliance requirements, and day-to-day HR administration.
Payroll Management
- Process monthly payroll accurately and within defined timelines.
- Maintain payroll records, including attendance, leave, reimbursements, salary revisions, and employee benefits.
- Coordinate with finance/accounts for salary processing and payments.
- Manage employee tax-related documentation and payroll reporting.
- Handle onboarding/offboarding payroll activities, including final settlements and benefits administration.
- Generate payroll MIS and HR reports as required.
Statutory Compliance & Dutch Labor Law
- Ensure compliance with Dutch labor laws, employment regulations, and HR policies.
- Manage statutory requirements related to employment contracts, working hours, leave policies, social security contributions, pension schemes, and employee benefits.
- Coordinate with external agencies, auditors, and authorities for compliance-related matters.
- Maintain employee records and statutory documentation in accordance with GDPR and local regulations.
- Support HR policy implementation aligned with Dutch employment standards.
- Stay updated on changes in Dutch labor legislation and HR compliance requirements.
HR Operations
- Maintain employee files and HR documentation.
- Support onboarding, induction, and exit management processes.
- Administer attendance and leave management systems.
- Respond to employee queries related to payroll, HR policies, benefits, and compliance matters.
- Assist with performance management and employee engagement initiatives.
- Support recruitment coordination and HR reporting activities when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in HR operations, payroll, and statutory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Dutch labor laws, payroll practices, and HR compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with the Netherlands employment regulations and HR documentation standards.
- Experience with HRMS/payroll systems.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and HR reporting.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in both Dutch and English would be mandatory
- Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion.
