Job Purpose | Financial Administrator - IMRES (Netherlands)
In this role, you will support the Finance team in day-to-day financial processes. You will process invoices, help maintain control over payments and administration, work accurately with financial data and contribute to improving the way we work. This is a hands-on role in which accuracy, reliability and ownership are key. You will work closely with colleagues in Finance and with teams such as Sales, Purchase, Logistics and Operations to ensure that our financial administration is correct — from invoice to payment and from reconciliation to reporting.
Responsibilities and activities
Financial administration
- Processing, checking and booking incoming and outgoing invoices.
- Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Preparing and processing payments.
- Checking and processing bank transactions, expense claims and credit card statements.
- Ensuring that financial data is recorded completely, correctly and on time.
- Supporting payroll-related administrative activities, such as collecting, checking and submitting mutations, expense claims and salary-related data, in collaboration with People Operations and/or external payroll partners.
Control & closing
- Supporting monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes.
- Preparing balance sheet specifications and reconciliations.
- Identifying and investigating differences in the administration.
- Contributing to internal controls and audits.
- Supporting VAT, ICP and other financial declarations where needed.
Collaboration & support
- Answering financial questions from colleagues, suppliers and customers.
- Aligning with internal teams on invoices, orders, payments and coding.
- Ensuring clear communication and service-oriented follow-up.
- Contributing to a reliable, transparent and professional Finance function.
Data & process improvement
- Contributing ideas to improve administrative workflows.
- Helping to further standardize and automate financial processes.
- Using financial data to create overview and support reporting.
- Identifying opportunities to work faster, smarter and with fewer errors.
What you bring:
· A completed mbo+/hbo degree in financial administration, business administration, finance or a similar field.
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a financial or administrative role.
· A customer service minded attitude
· Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank processing and general ledger administration.
· Good knowledge of Excel and experience with accounting or ERP systems.
· Experience with, or affinity for, payroll administration is considered a plus; for example, checking salary-related mutations, personnel costs, expense claims or payroll overviews.
· An accurate and structured way of working; you keep a close eye on deadlines and details.
· A service-minded attitude: you are approachable, discreet and solution-oriented.
· You feel comfortable in an international organization where different teams work closely together.
· Good command of Dutch and English; English is our common business language.
· Integrity and confidentiality: you handle financial and business-sensitive information with care.
