The Opportunity
As a Technology Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring reliable and efficient use of Village Farms’ corporate applications—primarily the ERP—to support day-to-day cultivation, manufacturing, order fulfillment, inventory management, and finance operations at Leli Holland. The role partners closely with the global technology teams and serves as the primary liaison with local and global technology vendors to ensure business continuity and scalable growth.
What You'll Do
Enterprise Applications Leadership & Support
- Serve as the primary functional expert for Enterprise Applications (Acumatica ERP, Label Printing, WMS, CRM etc) to drive effective use of technology at Leli Holland to support core processes for cultivation, manufacturing/production, inventory/procurement, sales/order fulfillment, and finance.
- Provide day-to-day Tier-2 application support: troubleshoot incidents, correct data issues, resolve workflow bottlenecks, and coordinate fixes with global teams and vendors.
- Ensure application configuration and master data practices align with corporate standards while supporting local operational needs.
Business Partnership & Operational Enablement
- Act as the technology point of contact for all business units at Leli Holland.
- Translate business requirements into actionable user stories or change requests with acceptance criteria, priority, and downstream impacts identified.
- Provide onboarding and recurring training for ERP and related apps; maintain local SOPs and quick-reference guides.
- Monitor end-to-end flows (e.g., inventory movement, order-to-cash) and recommend process or system optimizations.
Vendor Coordination
- Own day-to-day coordination with local technology vendors, consultants, and managed services; validate deliverables and SLAs.
- Lead initial incident triage (including label printers, scanners, shop-floor devices); escalate effectively to Enterprise Applications, Infrastructure, or vendor support as needed.
Integration & Scaling Support
- Support integration of Leli Holland into Village Farms’ global application ecosystem, including data standards, interfaces, and release cycles.
- Participate in project rollouts and upgrades (data validation, UAT, cutover, hypercare); document local impacts and train users.
- Contribute to harmonization of processes and master data with other entities (ie Canadian Cannabis) while adhering to local regulatory and compliance requirements.
Governance, Compliance & Security
- Adhere to application lifecycle & regulatory controls: change management, access reviews for app roles, and audit evidence collection per corporate policy.
- Support compliance requirements applicable to Leli Holland operations (GMP-like controls, seed-to-sale/traceability standards where applicable) by maintaining accurate records and validated processes.
- Ensure data quality at the source (in apps) and collaborate with Data/Analytics team on reporting and analytics needs.
What You Bring
Qualifications
Required
- 3–5+ years supporting ERP or business applications in manufacturing, agriculture, food production, or supply chain operations.
- Working knowledge of cultivation/production workflows, inventory and warehouse operations, order fulfillment, and finance basics.
- Hands-on experience triaging application incidents, resolving data discrepancies, and coordinating vendor fixes.
- Ability to translate business problems into clear system changes or support actions; strong documentation and training skills.
- Fluent English; ability to work on-site at Leli Holland facilities and support a fast-paced operational environment.
Preferred
- Experience with Acumatica (or similar mid-market ERP).
- Exposure to cannabis or other highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with WMS/MES/quality systems, barcode/labeling devices, and API-based integrations.
- Experience with AI & automation technologies and methods.
- Experience coordinating consultants or managed services providers.
