OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer to sail on an offshore construction vessel operating out of Amsterdam. You will support safe and reliable vessel operations, working closely with the Chief Engineer and the rest of the engine team.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations and maintenance
- Operate and monitor main engines, auxiliaries, and related machinery
- Carry out planned and corrective maintenance according to PMS
- Ensure safe engine room watchkeeping and record keeping
- Follow company safety procedures and permit-to-work systems
- Support bunkering, fuel transfer, and pollution-prevention routines
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer (III/2) CoC for seagoing vessels
- Previous experience as 2/E, preferably on offshore or construction vessels
- Valid STCW certificates, medical and offshore documents as required
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew
