Salary Range: €70,000 – €80,000 per year, depending on experience
The Role:
Survitec Rotterdam is looking for our next Operations Manager to join our flagship service station. In this newly created position, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operational performance of the site, ensuring operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with Survitec’s quality, operational, and QHSE standards.
This is a key leadership role with responsibility for operational planning, warehouse and outbound logistics flow, resource management, site performance, customer delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will play an important part in driving operational excellence across the Rotterdam operation while creating a strong safety-first and performance-focused culture.
We are looking for a proactive and commercially aware operational leader who can inspire teams, optimise processes, and support long-term business growth. The successful candidate will be passionate about continuous improvement, high service standards, and building an environment where people feel engaged, accountable, and empowered to perform at their best.
Key responsibilities for the Operations Manager role include but are not limited to:

Lead the operational performance of the Rotterdam service station, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.

Drive a strong QHSE culture, ensuring compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and continuous focus on health, safety, environmental, and quality performance.

Manage warehouse operations, inventory flow, outbound logistics, and operational planning to ensure efficient customer delivery and service execution.

Ensure operational processes, standard work, and service procedures are consistently implemented and followed across the site.

Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives focused on efficiency, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Identify process improvement opportunities, analyse operational challenges, and implement corrective and preventative actions.

Manage manpower planning, operational budgets, staffing levels, overtime, and resource allocation in line with customer demand and business objectives.

Monitor operational KPIs and site performance metrics, driving accountability and improvement across the operation.

Conduct operational audits, performance reviews, and site inspections to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.

Collaborate closely with Sales, Commercial, and wider Operations teams to support customer requirements, operational planning, and business growth.

Build strong, engaged, and high-performing teams through effective leadership, coaching, communication, and development support.

Ensure effective employee engagement and positive application of company policies and people processes.

Support the implementation of operational strategies, business initiatives, and organisational objectives across the Rotterdam site.

Maintain awareness of industry best practices, operational trends, and continuous improvement methodologies.

About You:
Essential criteria:

Experience managing operations within warehouse, logistics, service, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environments.

Strong understanding of QHSE principles and operational compliance.

Experience leading operational teams and managing site performance.

Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Experience managing operational budgets, resources, and workforce planning.

Ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Relevant operational experience, including leadership responsibility.

Dutch and English language skills.
Desirable:
-
Experience within the marine, offshore, safety, or technical service industry.

Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence methodologies.

Experience managing warehouse and outbound logistics operations
