Role overview:
Are you looking to work in a fast-paced environment within the FMCG industry and be part of a dynamic company that breathes International Trade? We are looking for a passionate and energetic International Trader with a great sense and determination to identify and secure new business opportunities. In this role, you will own your own portfolio of clients and suppliers across europe, and beyond. You will build long-term commercial relationships, negotiate deals, and develop deep market expertise, all while working from our vibrant Amsterdam office overlooking the canals.
What you’ll do
- Continuously analyze the European markets and search for new business opportunities across Europe.
- Establish new trading relationships with clients and suppliers to expand your portfolio.
- Create and send out offers, follow up on potential leads and ongoing negotiations while monitoring and finalizing pending orders.
- Negotiate pricing, payment, and delivery terms with both new and existing partners.
- Develop profound market insights and become a specialist in your market by mastering pricing, products, and margin optimization.
- Work closely with our Supply Chain team to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.
- Travel regularly to meet clients and suppliers, attend trade shows, and build long-term relationships in person.
What we’re looking for
- Residing in/or near Amsterdam, Netherlands. Must be in possession of a valid EU work permit.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably from a commercially related study.
- 0–5 years of experience in a sales, purchasing, or business development role.
- Fluent in English. Additional languages such as Dutch, French, Italian or German are a strong plus.
- Not afraid to cold call and approach new people — you enjoy the hunt.
- You find satisfaction in taking on substantial freedom and responsibility.
- You are driven, ambitious, and have a professional athlete’s mentality.
- You are able to remain composed when facing obstacles and challenging circumstances.
- You gain energy from traveling to different countries regularly to meet relations, attend trade shows, and build long-term relationships.

- A full-time contract (40 hrs/week) with a salary between €2,800 – €5,000 based on your experience, plus an uncapped bonus scheme.

Salaris: €2.800,00 - €5.000,00 per maand
