We are looking for a flexible, reliable, and proactive Housekeeping Supervisor who can support multiple hotel locations and operational teams. In addition to your supervisory responsibilities, you will act as a temporary replacement for our Recruiter during holidays, leave periods, or other absences.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, works independently, and is interested in both operational leadership and people management.
What we're looking for
- Fluent in English (Dutch is an advantage)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to write reports and ensure proper follow-up
- Flexible and available to work weekdays and weekends
- Team-oriented with a hands-on mentality
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a housekeeping supervisory role
- Able to work independently and take responsibility when required
- Adaptable to different hotel environments and operational situations
- Physically capable of assisting operational teams when needed
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable using digital systems and applications
- A second language (such as Spanish or Polish) is considered an advantage
- Basic knowledge of Dutch employment regulations and work permits is a plus
- Interested in recruitment, onboarding, and employee development
Your Role
Housekeeping Supervisor (Primary Responsibility)
As a Flexible Housekeeping Supervisor, you will:
- Take ownership of daily housekeeping operations when required
- Supervise housekeeping teams and ensure hotel cleaning standards are consistently achieved
- Conduct room inspections and quality checks
- Coach, motivate, and support housekeeping employees
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
- Monitor productivity and operational performance
- Support Housekeeping Managers in achieving operational goals
- Collaborate with Regional Managers on larger projects and operational improvements
- Maintain a positive work environment and contribute to excellent guest experiences
- Support multiple hotel locations depending on operational needs
Acting Recruiter (Secondary Responsibility)
During the absence of the full-time Recruiter, you will:
- Act as the first point of contact for candidates
- Manage recruitment activities and staffing requests
- Screen applications and conduct interviews using appropriate interview techniques
- Present suitable candidates to Housekeeping Managers
- Coordinate onboarding and hiring administration
- Monitor recruitment performance through our ATS system
- Work closely with the System Support Manager and external marketing partners to optimize recruitment campaigns
- Support employer branding initiatives and recruitment marketing
- Create and manage recruitment-related content for social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and implement new ideas and trends
- Maintain a professional and positive representation of Check in Cleaning in the labor market

- 25 to 38 working hours per week
- Salary payment every four weeks
- Competitive salary based on experience and Dutch collective labor agreements
Additional Benefits
- 26 vacation days per year based on full-time employment (pro rata for part-time employees)
- 8% holiday allowance paid annually in May
- 5% end-of-year bonus after six months of employment

Hourly Rates (Effective 01/01/2026)
- 1 year experience: €16.70 gross per hour
- 2 years experience: €17.30 gross per hour
- 3 years experience: €17.84 gross per hour
- 4 years experience: €18.44 gross per hour
Requirements
To work with us, you will need:
- Accommodation within 30 km of Amsterdam
- A valid Dutch work permit (for non-EU citizens)
- A working mobile phone (Dutch or European number preferred)
