You are the visible and approachable face of Facility Management at your office or offices. Employees and local stakeholders know where to find you, and you actively build relationships to understand needs, resolve issues and continuously improve services.
You combine hands-on leadership with strong organisational skills, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly while contributing to consistent, high-quality service delivery across the Netherlands.
You act as the primary local contact point for all facility-related matters, including incidents, service disruptions and complex operational issues. Key responsibilities:
- End-to-end responsibility for facility operations at assigned Haskoning office or offices
- Lead and manage on-site staff and service providers
- Ensure safe, compliant and high-quality service delivery, aligned with national standards and local needs
- Manage local projects and improvements
- Act as contract owner for selected services
- Maintain a safe, welcoming and high-quality workplace environment for employees and visitors
- Proactively identify and resolve operational issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement, standardisation and future-oriented Facility Management
- Act as the visible, approachable and reliable local representative of Facility Management
- Serve as the primary contact point for employees and stakeholders at the location
- Take the lead in handling local incidents, service disruptions and urgent issues
- Assess when escalation is required and coordinate with the Facility Manager NL and other stakeholders
- Ensure clear and timely communication during incidents, including alignment with QHSE, IT, Real Estate and other relevant stakeholders
- Strengthen local presence and user engagement to proactively identify risks and improvements
Scope and mandate
- Responsible for one or more Haskoning offices within the Netherlands
- Reports to the Facility Manager Netherlands
- Full operational responsibility at local level, within agreed frameworks
- Leads local teams and external suppliers
- Co-own national contract performance and service quality with peers, ensuring consistency across offices
- Operates with significant autonomy, while aligning with national standards

As our new Local Facility Manager, you will become part of the corporate group Digital & Workplace Solutions (DWS) in the Netherlands. DWS provides services to the internal organisation, enabling colleagues to serve their clients in the best possible way.
DWS’s activities are divided across three domains: Enterprise IT & Services, Real Estate & Facility, and Digital & AI. In addition, there is a separate team for information security. The structure of DWS was recently reorganised to allow the three domains to come into their own more effectively. As a result, several new roles have been created, including that of Local Facility Manager. This role will be part of Real Estate & Facility.
You are a strong, independent facility management professional who combines ownership with collaboration, a service mindset and a clear focus on creating a positive workplace experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management or similar
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience, including leadership
- Proven experience in facility operations and supplier management
