As an Offshore Wind Project Director, you will lead multi‑billion‑euro offshore wind development programs across the North Sea region. Operating without micromanagement, you will oversee strategic planning, engineering execution, contractor governance, and long‑term operational performance of high‑capacity wind assets.
You will collaborate directly with executive leadership and European regulatory bodies, ensuring seamless delivery of complex infrastructure projects that shape the continent’s energy transition.
Core Responsibilities
- Direct end‑to‑end offshore wind project development, from feasibility to commissioning.
- Manage large‑scale EU‑funded infrastructure budgets and investment programs.
- Oversee engineering, procurement, marine operations, and contractor performance.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with European energy and maritime authorities.
- Lead risk management, environmental impact assessments, and grid‑integration planning.
- Coordinate with turbine manufacturers, offshore vessel operators, and transmission operators.
- Drive innovation in offshore technology, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
Required Competencies
- Extensive experience in offshore wind, large‑scale energy infrastructure, or marine engineering.
- Proven leadership in capital‑intensive, multi‑stakeholder project environments.
- Strong understanding of EU regulatory frameworks and offshore permitting processes.
- Executive‑level communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
