Job Description
As Procurement Director for Global Emerging Markets, you'll lead the full procurement agenda across one of JDE Peet's most complex and diverse regions — with a spend responsibility of over €1bn spanning Raw Materials, Packaging, External Manufacturing, Logistics, Marketing, and more. Reporting directly to the Chief Procurement Officer and leading a team of 40–50 managers and buyers, you'll set the strategic direction, drive operational excellence, and deliver cost, cash, and supply performance across GEM factories. This is a senior leadership role for someone with the commercial sharpness, people leadership, and regional expertise to make a real mark on a fast-growing, global business.
What you'll be doing:

Build, lead, and coach a high-performing team of regional procurement managers and buyers across the full GEM category portfolio

Define and execute robust sourcing strategies across Direct and Indirect categories, delivering cost savings, cash targets, and supply continuity

Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, leading negotiations and managing a portfolio of contractual agreements to mitigate supply, price, and quality risk

Identify and prioritise total cost of ownership savings opportunities and build longer-term productivity pipelines

Act as the senior escalation point for suppliers and factories across the region, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders

Drive innovation, compliance, and continuous improvement — ensuring alignment with the global operating model and procurement excellence standards

For this role as Procurement Director – GEM, we're looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

10+ years of procurement leadership experience with a strong track record in cost, cash, and supply performance delivery across a complex, global environment

Proven ability to lead and develop large procurement teams (managers and buyers) across multiple categories and geographies

Deep understanding of E2E supply chain, SRM programmes, risk mitigation strategies, and P2P technologies

Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to influence at the most senior levels

Experience working across the GEM region and navigating complex, multicultural environments

Degree level education; MBA or further qualification preferred
