YETI is seeking a strategic, results-oriented Director of Marketing – Europe to lead regional brand and marketing efforts. Based in Amsterdam, this role will be responsible for driving brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth across European markets.
The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of regional consumer behavior, a passion for brand storytelling, and a proven ability to deliver integrated marketing campaigns across diverse markets. This role will work closely with global teams—including Consumer Insights, Brand Creative, Product, and DTC—as well as local agencies and partners to ensure alignment with YETI’s global brand strategy, while adapting execution to meet the unique needs of European consumers.
- Lead European Brand Strategy:
Develop and implement regional brand strategies informed by local consumer insights, market dynamics, and business objectives. Ensure alignment with global brand positioning while adapting messaging and campaigns for cultural relevance and impact.
- Campaign Development & Execution:
Oversee the creation and rollout of high-impact, integrated marketing campaigns for product launches and brand initiatives across Europe. Manage toolkits, activations, and communications tailored to regional audiences.
- Retail Account Marketing:
Support regional Sales teams—particularly in the UK and Germany—in building out the YETI brand through wholesale channels. Ensure brand consistency and excellence in execution across fixtures, windows, and point-of-sale materials.
- Community Marketing & Activations:
Partner with regional teams to deliver grassroots events and activations that authentically connect with local audiences. Ensure every YETI appearance is on-brand and fosters meaningful engagement with an ever-growing community.
- Social Media Strategy & Execution:
Develop and execute regional social media strategies to grow YETI’s presence across key platforms. Tailor content and engagement approaches to resonate with local audiences and amplify brand storytelling.
- Integrated Marketing Planning:
Create and implement integrated marketing plans that drive product growth, differentiate across channels, and support the overall expansion of the region.
- Consumer Insights & Market Research:
Partner with global and regional insights teams and conduct market research, monitor brand health, and analyze performance metrics. Translate findings into actionable strategies and optimizations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Product, DTC, and Sales teams to support commercial objectives with compelling, on-brand marketing materials and messaging.
- Team Leadership & Development:
Manage and mentor a growing European marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on creativity, accountability, and results.
- Agency & Partner Management:
Lead relationships with regional agencies and external partners to ensure consistent brand execution and high-quality creative output.
- Localization & Market Adaptation:
Customize global campaigns and messaging frameworks to suit local market needs, ensuring cultural relevance and resonance across diverse European audiences.
- Strategic Planning & Reporting:
Build scalable marketing processes and roadmaps. Provide regular reporting on campaign performance, brand metrics, and strategic opportunities.
- Executive Leadership Team Participation:
Serve as a key member of the European Leadership Team (ELT), ensuring marketing is central to regional strategy and execution. Bring deep expertise to elevate brand development and drive long-term growth.
Qualifications & Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in brand marketing, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
- Proven success in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies across multiple European markets, including retail, community, and digital channels.
- Strong understanding of wholesale marketing dynamics and experience supporting sales teams through impactful retail activations and POS execution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead grassroots marketing initiatives and community engagement programs that build brand affinity and drive local relevance.
- Expertise in social media strategy and execution, with a track record of growing brand presence and engagement across key platforms.
- Deep understanding of European consumer behavior, cultural nuances, and media landscapes.
- Experience developing marketing plans that differentiate product positioning across channels and support regional growth.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform strategy, optimize campaigns, and measure success.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and external agencies, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and contribute meaningfully to executive-level strategic planning.
