Overview:
The Supervisor Road is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day performance management and development of the Operations Road team and service. You will be responsible for allocating a “buddy” for new team members, training and on the job development of team members. Assigning work to others and acting as a point of direction and support to the team.
Additionally, this role involves managing relationships with service providers and partners, being the liaison for vendors to manage shipment bookings, ensuring timely transfers from logistics providers’ warehouses and onward to final destinations, as appropriate.
This role will also assist as needed to ensure the work has been completed by the department on a daily basis. Assist the team in any escalations if needed. You support the local management and sales manager in their sales activities, like maintaining customer relationships, providing support in tenders, cost calculations onboarding new customers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide practical support to the management team (Export/Import) to include cover during periods of absence

Work in partnership with their direct colleagues to ensure that day to day tasks are being dealt with. You divide the workload within the team

Support the team in case of any issues arising and assist in escalations

Organize monthly team meeting and responsible for follow up action points. Informing management on this and communicate on the action tracker

Responsible for process improvement, standarization and documentation procedures for all operations

Checking emails are being answered accordingly and without delay. Quick response time is key

Ensuring any problematic issues are reported directly to their Manager/BM

Working in partnership with your direct colleagues to ensure day to day operations are covered and to ensure that the work is evenly distributed

Overseeing KPI, milestones and Task Levels of the teammates.

Monitoring on time Billing and other important KPI’s or the station.

Participate in the interview process for potential candidate along with onboarding process of new teammates, and off-boarding teammates.

Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary. Be present and act in MBR and QBR’s. Monthly financial team reports.

Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable).

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships. Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
