Job Title: Account Manager - Flights
Team Location: Amsterdam
N.B. This role does not come with relocation assistance , therefore candidates must be currently based in the Netherlands in order to be considered.
Role Overview
The partnerships account manager is responsible for managing Booking.com’s distribution relationships with a portfolio of companies. While supporting Booking.com’s long term growth, the role also supports the promotion and protects the best interests of Booking.com by growing our business in line with the Flight Departments strategy and respecting tri-party rules of engagement. The role will additionally contribute to cross-department projects and initiatives as a commercial stakeholder.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

Support business development activities (strategy and goal setting, lead generation and prospecting, discovery, negotiation and closure) for new ancillary product suppliers

Run all aspects of the Account Management process (perform regular data-driven assessment of business health, identify growth initiatives, put in place plans to address joint opportunities, conduct business reviews) with the objective of growing the overall incremental production of the relationship and ensuring the long term success of Booking.com’s Flights business.

Build strong relationships with (senior) stakeholders of identified meta channel partners and ancillary product suppliers and act as first point of contact for all related business and activities (supported by commercial managers and commercial director).

Maintain a good knowledge of Revenue, Channel and Distribution Management;

Have the ability to sell all Booking.com’s Flight products and support our distribution strategy. In addition, have a strong understanding of our traveller and partner value proposition.

Demonstrate an advanced understanding of the suite of Products and suite of tools that we offer in order to optimize performance.

Maintain consistent knowledge of the digital and travel industry and related trends.

Be analytically aware. focusing on growth and sustainability whilst balancing short, medium and long-term goals.

Exhibit strong communication skills, ability to influence teams (product, analytics etc.) and coordinate 3rd party contribution to deliver success to Flights generally and on individual accounts.

Demonstrate the ability to collaborate across departments
Role Qualifications and Requirements
Proven experience in Airline distribution and performance partnerships.-
Understanding the dynamics of the travel sector, particularly flights

Good interpersonal skills and ability to build a strong network.

Solution oriented and result driven

Proactive, flexible and capable of working independently as well as working in a team

Excellent communication skills (e.g. 1:1, small group, large group; internal and external)

Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Available to travel approximately 30% of the time.

Reliable and results oriented

Experienced in influencing stakeholders (Directors and up)
