Job Description Summary
The Warehouse Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of warehouse functions, personnel, facility safety and security in one of the 4 halls at the Ridderkerk warehouse. This position is responsible for timely and accurate distribution of inbound and outbound freight, special projects and communications with other departments and branches. Responsible for office duties and all linked surrogate activities.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing all warehouse activities, ensuring that orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time. You will monitor inventory accuracy, resolve operational challenges, and continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and service levels. As a hands-on leader, you will not hesitate to step onto the warehouse floor and support operations when needed.
You will serve as the primary operational contact for assigned customer accounts, building strong relationships through proactive communication and a customer-focused mindset. By closely monitoring performance and anticipating customer needs, you will help deliver exceptional service and contribute to long-term partnerships.
Performance management is another key aspect of the role. You will contribute to Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, analyzing KPI and SLA results, identifying improvement opportunities, and ensuring follow-up actions are successfully implemented. Your insights and operational expertise will help drive continuous improvement and support future growth.

Equipment & Facility Management is part of your responsibility:
- Manage MHE fleet and schedule preventative maintenance
- Coordinate resolution of technical and facility-related issues
What we are asking for:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Five years’ experience in operations or warehouse management.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment operations, repairs, and training of personnel.
- Facility management experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse processes and keeps up to date with developments in logistics.
- Knowledge of business systems relevant to the role (WMS, etc.).
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English, preferable Dutch as well;
- Being able to work in multiple shifts (6am-3pm and 3pm – 12pm);
- Holds forklift and reach truck certificate.
- In possession of a certificate of good conduct (VOG).
