Tess van Zalinge is looking for a fashion design intern.
At our Amsterdam-based atelier, we work with a small, multidisciplinary team, and we’re currently looking for a fashion design talent to join us. We offer a dynamic internship within a young and inspiring work environment, where you’ll play an essential role from the start, giving you both creative freedom and real responsibilities. You‘ll collaborate closely with the designer, becoming an integral part of the team. Your ideas and input will be truly valued. Your responsibilities will include;
- Conducting research for inspiration, concepts, upcoming collections, and new projects.
- Creating mood boards, illustrations, and (technical) drawings.
- Translating concepts into sketches and design proposals.
- Supporting with pattern making, sampling, and garment construction.
- Assisting with fittings, repairs, adjustments, and modifications of designs.
- Organizing press requests and maintaining the design archive at the atelier.
- Helping with daily operations and assisting during creative and production days.
Competences we're looking for;
- You live in (or near) Amsterdam.
- You are currently studying or have graduated in Creative Branding, Communication, or a related field (Bachelor or Master level).
- You’re skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro).
- You have strong skills in patternmaking, tailoring, and sewing, along with a deep interest in and knowledge of the fashion industry.
- You’re communicative, creative, and comfortable writing in both English and Dutch.
- You’re proactive, flexible, and organized, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
