What to Expect
The EHS Specialist will report to the Senior Manager EHS – EMEA. The EHS Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance are integrated across new business introduction, new market entry, new site openings, remodels, facility and infrastructure development projects.
Partnering closely with the EHS Operations Teams and Infrastructure Development stakeholders. The EHS Specialist will standardize and develop efficient processes, identify risks, and implement solutions to support business expansion and risk management.
The focus is achieving compliance and risk control within the company’s and regulatory agencies’ standards in environmental, health and safety. Candidates must work well on both self-initiated projects and those driven by stakeholders. He or she appreciates an environment where superior work is encouraged, noticed and rewarded.
What You'll Do
- Take ownership over EHS standardization practices as driven by compliance, risk and event data, per prioritization of the business and EHS leaders across Tesla EMEA.
- Collaborate with EHS Operations, Infrastructure Development, and Project Management teams to integrate EHS standards, policies, procedures and best practices across EMEA.

Establish review and monitoring processes and help streamline solutions for improving compliance with the permits and licenses required for compliance and site operation.
- Conduct site EHS assessments and audits to identify trends, opportunities and implement standards for trend based corrective actions plans.

Support regional EHS partners with site readiness through the deployment of EHS standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Support the development and deployment of contractor safety management standards and ensure adherence to safety guidelines during construction projects.
Serve as the EHS liaison for multi-disciplinary teams to ensure alignment and timely resolution of EHS issues posing a risk to safety and business continuity.

What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS engineering, occupational safety and health, or equivalent

Demonstrated knowledge of EHS, Building and Fire codes and applicable safety standards

Practical, hands-on experience with EHS Policy, Procedure and Standards development

Excellent written and verbal language skills in English

Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and self-directed

Proactive as well as detail and result oriented with strong desire to succeed

Strong interpersonal, communicative and stakeholder relationship skills

Ability to prioritize and support multiple departments
