Reporting to the EMEA Communications & Content Team Manager, you’ll lead strategic initiatives that elevate our brand presence in the global cycling community.
As Shimano Europe’s PR & Communications Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our storytelling, media relations, and brand communications across a diverse portfolio of cycling products and services. You’ll build and nurture a strong network within the cycling media landscape, amplifying Shimano’s voice across consumer, lifestyle, and industry platforms.

Develop and execute a strategic PR roadmap for Shimano.

Translate that PR strategy into actionable plans tailored to road, gravel, MTB, and lifestyle cycling categories.

Lead PR and communications initiatives aligned with Shimano’s business objectives.

Collaborate with country teams across Europe to drive a cohesive, year-round PR calendar.

Cultivate and expand relationships with international media outlets, opinion makers, and content creators.

Manage product launches and press communications in coordination with our global office in Japan.

Oversee media events such as product introductions and media camps.

Monitor media coverage and respond with proactive or reactive communications as needed.

Manage external PR and communications agencies.

Lead crisis communications and reputation management efforts.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field.

4–6+ years of experience in PR and communications, ideally with a background in cycling.

Native-level English proficiency with exceptional writing and editorial skills.

Proven experience in media relations and brand storytelling.

Deep familiarity with cycling culture and industry trends.

Strong grasp of offline media and events and digital media channels.

Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
