As a Site Installation Engineer at Nem Energy, you are responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the quality of all construction activities related to the installation of our Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG’s) at project sites worldwide. Your primary focus is monitoring progress, safety, quality, and technical compliance of on-site activities, in close cooperation with EPC contractors, end clients, suppliers, and our internal project team.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate construction and installation activities of HRSG’s (mechanical, structural, piping, instrumentation, and insulation)

Ensure that all work is executed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and QA/QC procedures

Support pre-commissioning activities, including punch list management and as-built documentation

Identify deviations and prepare technical reports for the Site Manager and project team
-
Guide subcontractors and coordinate interface activities with other disciplines (piping, electrical systems)

Manage and monitor additional works performed on site, with the aim to minimize costs for NEM

Promote a strong safety culture on site and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiative
Candidate requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Operational Engineering or Installation Engineering

5+ years of experience during the construction phase of power plants or industrial installations

Experience in EPC or turnkey projects is a strong advantage, with construction experience preferable with Heat Recovery Steam Generators

In-depth knowledge of HRSG construction principles, welding and assembly works piping, supporting, , steel structures and insulation (external/internal)

Affinity with electrical, instrumentation, control valves and similar equipment

Solid technical insight and ability to interpret drawings, P&IDs, and 3D models

Skilled in preparing progress and inspection reports

Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken

Willing to work internationally for extended periods
