Senior Risk Officer, Platform & Technology Risk | Long-term project | Financial Services
A large, well-established financial services organisation is looking for a senior second-line risk expert to strengthen oversight of platform and technology risk during a period of increased focus on resilience, secure configuration and risk-based remediation. This is an assignment for someone who can translate technical complexity into clear insight for senior stakeholders.
You will join the Platforms & Technology risk team within the CRO IT & Cyber function, working alongside experienced risk professionals to challenge, guide and improve how core infrastructure and platform services are maintained and secured.
About the role
As a senior second-line expert, you provide independent oversight of the stable maintenance and secure configuration of core platforms and infrastructural technologies, working closely with first-line teams to strengthen risk posture through expertise and constructive challenge.
- Challenge and advise first-line teams on risk posture, controls, remediation and action plans
- Perform independent risk assessments of key platform and infrastructure domains
- Review and challenge remediation plans, control improvements and risk acceptances
- Identify recurring risk themes and translate them into practical improvement actions
- Prepare concise reporting and recommendations for senior stakeholders and risk governance forums
- Support maturity improvements in platform and technology risk oversight
Who are you?
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, platforms, cloud (including Microsoft cloud services and private cloud) and IT management processes
- Senior-level experience in technology risk management, with a track record in second-line oversight and control challenge
- Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
- Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
- Able to operate independently and deliver within a fixed assignment timeframe
