As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, maintaining, and continuously improving our engineering platform. Your focus is not only on infrastructure, but also on creating a smooth, secure, and efficient development experience for your colleagues.
Your responsibilities include:

Designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, including reusable workflows, release automation, and managed runners.

Maintaining and gradually migrating existing Azure DevOps pipelines to GitHub where appropriate.

Designing, deploying, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure, including Container Apps, networking, identity management, Key Vault, and supporting cloud services.

Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Bicep and/or Terraform.

Creating reusable templates, pipeline blueprints, and platform components that enable development teams to deliver software efficiently.

Managing GitHub at an organizational level, including repository governance, branch protection, environments, secrets, access control, and required checks.

Implementing logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing to ensure platform reliability and observability.

Continuously improving security, compliance, and operational reliability, including ISO 27001 compliance, secrets management, and supply chain security.

Automating repetitive tasks to improve developer productivity and reduce operational overhead.

Leading incident response for platform-related issues and driving continuous improvements based on post-incident reviews.

You're an experienced Platform Engineer who enjoys building reliable, secure, and scalable platforms that enable others to do their best work. You combine technical expertise with a pragmatic mindset and enjoy taking ownership of complex infrastructure challenges.
You also bring:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent working and thinking level.
-
At least five years of experience in a Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Infrastructure role.

Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including networking, identity (Entra ID), Key Vault, and cloud-native infrastructure.

Strong expertise with GitHub, particularly GitHub Actions, reusable workflows, and repository governance.

Experience working with Azure DevOps pipelines and migrating workloads to GitHub.

Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or both.

Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.

A security-first mindset with strong knowledge of cloud security, identity management, and operational reliability.

Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.

You are currently based in the Netherlands.
Nice to have

Experience with Azure Container Apps, AKS, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration platforms.

Knowledge of software supply chain security, including artifact signing, dependency scanning, and SBOMs.

Experience with observability tooling such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor.

Familiarity with Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and managed database services.

Experience supporting .NET and Vue development teams.

Experience building or managing an Internal Developer Platform (IDP).

Experience working with AI coding assistants such as Claude or similar tools within platform engineering workflows.
