General function description
You will teach, train, coach and assess both Dutch and international students in leadership and communication skills on both campus Amsterdam as The Hague between 08.30 and 17:00
Teaching consists of 80% of your time
Areas of focus within communication include giving and receiving feedback, performance appraisals, demonstrating assertiveness in dealing with difficult guests, and practicing proactive communication within teamwork
Leadership skills are focused on the development of the students’ emotional intelligence and ability to deal with adversity within the context of leadership, including the training of motivating employees, progress and appraisal interviews and meeting skills.
You will be developing and improving courses that are closely linked to real-world (hospitality) management practices.
Two to four times per year, you will guide students through a week-long outdoor leadership development programme.
You are a professional and motivating trainer who is able to encourage young adults to achieve excellence.
You are flexible and an active team player willing to cooperate and contribute towards the university’s success.
You feel at home in an English speaking dynamic and international academic environment
Candidate profile
You have/are:
a Master’s degree
A hospitality background or strong affinity with the hospitality industry.
Demonstrated leadership experience.
A recognized coaching qualification (e.g., NOBCO, ICF) or equivalent coaching expertise.
Experience delivering training sessions and facilitating group learning.
A solid foundation in leadership theory and practice.
a minimum of 4 years work experience in training communication, leadership and management skills, at least a part of which is within an international environment.
analytical and conceptual skills
an excellent command of the English language (C1-level)
very good social and communication skills
an ability to work independently with a proactive attitude towards problem solving
an enthusiastic approach to education with an emphasis on coaching students to deal with real-world professional assignments
Remuneration
Hotelschool The Hague offers a salary based on scale 11 the labour agreement of Universities of Applied Science (CAO HBO) with a range between € 4.836,70 and€ 6.644,77 per month, depending on your professional experience and qualifications.

Hotelschool The Hague works with a 40-hour workweek. The starting date for this position is as soon as possible depending on the notice period of the applicant.
