Experienced ship Electrician needed to work on RORO/ROPAX vessels trading between the Netherlands and England. You will be part of the technical crew, keeping all electrical and electronic systems safe and in good working order.
- Basic Safety Certificate - STCW 2010 A-VI/1
- Electro-Technical Rating COP (STCW 2010-Reg. III/7)
- Certificate of Completed Apprenticeship Proficiency in Security Awareness Certificate (STCW A-VI/6)
- Crowd Management Course (STCW) Pax-Cargo Safety,
- Hull STCW Reg A-V/2.5 and A-V/2.9
- Safety training for personnel providing direct service to passengers in passenger spaces V/2
- Health Certificate
- Passport
- Seaman's Book
- Key responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all shipboard electrical systems
- Carry out inspections, testing and preventive maintenance
- Support engine room and deck teams with electrical work and upgrades
- Ensure safe working practices and proper use of tools and test equipment
- Assist during port calls, drills and emergencies as required
- Requirements:
- Previous seagoing experience as Electrician (ELEC) on RORO/ROPAX or similar vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Good knowledge of marine electrical systems and automation
- Ability to read and work from electrical drawings and manuals
- Good English communication skills and strong safety mindset
