The internship
Beer is at the heart of HEINEKEN – and the way people choose, enjoy and connect through beer is changing fast. That creates an exciting challenge: how do we keep beer growing for the future?
As an intern in the Beer Category Growth & Innovation team, you will work at the intersection of consumer and category understanding, strategy and innovation. You will support a global team in identifying growth opportunities, shaping clear strategic stories and bringing new thinking into the beer category.
You will be part of a team that looks beyond today’s business and asks: where can beer go next, and how can HEINEKEN help shape that future?
What will you be working on?
Spot growth opportunities: Explore consumer, category, cultural and competitive trends to help identify where beer can grow and how needs and behaviours are evolving.
Build powerful stories: Support team in building clear, visual and engaging presentations for stakeholders across markets and functions.
Support innovation workstreams: Contribute to idea generation, research, product and concept development.
Organise and enable the team: Support in organising internal events, product tasting, workshops and consumer research, helping everything run smoothly end-to-end.
Collaborate across the business: Work with colleagues across Global Commerce, R&D; and our operating companies across the globe.

- You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in Business, Marketing, Strategy or Innovation.
- You are curious about consumers, culture and brands.
- You have strong analytical skills and enjoy turning information into clear insights.
- You are structured and comfortable working on multiple topics topics in a fast-moving environment.
- You are organised, able to structure your work into clear plans, manage tasks and timelines, and follow up to keep things on track
- You are comfortable connecting with different people and proactively following up to make things happen.
You are a strong visual storyteller, confident in PowerPoint.
Experience with AI tools and desk research is a plus.

Conditions of HEINEKEN
- You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
- In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
- In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
- You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
- You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).
Our Internship Conditions
During your time as an intern at HEINEKEN, you’ll work in a dynamic environment where growing and learning are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we brew your future step by step. In addition, we offer you:
- A full-time internship, starting on September 1st, 2026
- The duration of the internship is 6 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor)
- Your home office will be located in Amsterdam.
- At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home
- You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek
- You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship)
- If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed
