Field Delivery Manager – Benelux
Location: Netherlands (office based one to two days per week, remainder on site with occasional home working)
Schedule: Full-time
Who are we?
At Vertiv, we're on a mission to power the people and technologies that keep the world connected. From data centres to telecom networks and industrial facilities, our solutions ensure that critical systems stay online, no matter what.
With over $6.9 billion in revenue and operations spanning nearly 70 countries, Vertiv offers the stability of a global leader and the excitement of a fast-evolving industry.
About the Role
Vertiv is hiring a Field Delivery Manager to lead a team of Field Service Engineers across the Benelux. This is a newly created role, born out of a restructure to better support our growing data centre business. You'll take ownership of a team covering both UPS and Thermal disciplines, ensuring they deliver outstanding service to our customers across the region.
This is a people leadership role first and foremost. While you'll need enough technical understanding to support your team and speak credibly with customers, the real focus is on managing, coaching, and developing your engineers to perform at their best. You'll be the bridge between your team on the ground and the wider business, making sure resources are deployed effectively, customers are looked after, and your engineers have everything they need to succeed.
The role is customer facing and site based. You'll spend most of your time out with your team and at customer sites, with one or two days per week in the office. The data centre environment is fast paced and demanding, so you'll need to be comfortable operating in that world and building strong relationships with clients who expect a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
You'll lead, coach, and develop your team of Field Service Engineers, driving performance through clear KPIs and continuous improvement. Day to day, you'll manage resource planning, scheduling, and workload balancing to make sure service coverage is optimised and nothing falls through the cracks.
You'll ensure timely and high quality execution of installation, maintenance, and repair services across customer sites. When issues arise, you'll act as the point of escalation, working closely with customers to resolve problems and maintain satisfaction.
Collaboration is key in this role. You'll work alongside Sales, Technical Support, and Logistics to ensure seamless service delivery. You'll also identify training needs within your team and support the development of both technical and soft skills, making sure your engineers continue to grow.
Safety and compliance sit at the heart of everything we do. You'll maintain adherence to safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations across all activities.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing field service teams in a technical or engineering environment, ideally within data centres
- A background in UPS, Switchgear, or Thermal systems — you don't need to be a deep technical specialist, but you must understand what your team does
- Strong people management skills with a track record of leading, coaching, and developing engineers
- Customer facing experience with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- A service oriented mindset — you understand what good looks like from the customer's perspective
• Formal engineering qualification in a related field (degree or equivalent) • Excellent communication, problem solving, and decision making capabilities
- Fluent English is essential; Dutch is a nice to have for team integration and local stakeholder engagement
What's in it for you?
- Competitive base salary (in line with current FDM benchmarks)
- Salary of 38 hours based on our Collective Labor Agreement – Metal & Technology
- You work 40 hours per week and use this to build up ADV days
• Lease car in accordance with Vertiv Benelux B.V. Car policy + fuel card • 8% holiday allowance • 25 vacation days and 13 ADV days per year
- Monthly flexible allowance
- Pension with PMT
- Laptop and mobile phone for business use
- Sick leave insurance after dismissal (WIA)
