Job purpose:
The purpose of this role is to support the efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse by accurately receiving, storing, handling, and dispatching goods in line with company procedures. The Warehouse Clerk will help maintain accurate inventory records, process returns, ensure stock is stored safely and efficiently, and support timely order fulfilment while maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
Duties will include:
- Receive and check incoming deliveries, ensuring shipments match purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Inspect goods received for damages, shortages, or discrepancies and escalate issues where required.
- Maintain accurate records of all goods received, stored, dispatched, and returned.
- Process product returns (RMAs) in line with company procedures.
- Liaise with suppliers and couriers to resolve delivery, shipment, or stock discrepancies.
- Load, unload, move, stack, and organise stock safely using appropriate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and hand carts.
- Store stock efficiently and accurately to maximise warehouse space and maintain accessibility.
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer and internal orders for dispatch in a timely and accurate manner.
- Select suitable packaging materials to ensure goods are packed securely for transportation.
- Support inventory control activities, including stock checks and maintaining accurate stock levels within the warehouse system.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment in line with health and safety standards.
The ideal candidate:
- Educated to High School Diploma/GED level or equivalent (MBO level in the Netherlands).
- Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Dutch.
- Previous experience working within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Computer literacy and competent in Microsoft Office applications and warehouse management systems.
- Physically capable of lifting, moving, and handling heavy goods where required.
- Comfortable working on feet for extended periods of time.
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills with a proactive approach to work.
