Strategic Go-to-Market Execution: Define and implement the commercial roadmap, ensuring alignment between market demand and our Sustainability Advisory and Carbon Credit offerings.
- Commercial Performance & Revenue Growth: Take full ownership of revenue targets, driving sustainable commercial growth by identifying high-potential market segments and optimizing the sales funnel.
- Team Leadership & Talent Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team. Foster a culture of accountability and professional growth, with a strong focus on outbound sales & lead generation.
- Strategic Account Management: Oversee and cultivate an existing client portfolio, prioritizing long-term partnerships, retention, and the expansion of service offerings within key accounts.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, regulatory shifts, and competitor activity to refine our value proposition and maintain a competitive edge.
Commercial Track Record
- Experience: Minimum 12–15 years in business development or commercial roles within consulting, advisory, or professional services, with a preference for sustainability.
- Strategic Account Management: A minimum of 4 years of experience in managing corporate accounts and defining high-level commercial strategies on C level.
- Sales Cycle Mastery: Proven success in executing full-cycle outbound sales, from initial cold prospecting to contract closure, including the navigation of complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations.
- Proposal Excellence: Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver compelling proposals, complemented by structured, persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
- Core Competencies: Solid working knowledge of corporate sustainability, covering net-zero strategies, carbon footprinting, decarbonization, and ESG reporting frameworks (CSRD, GRI, ISSB). Expertise in supply chain sustainability, sustainable finance, and regulatory reporting is plus.
- Market Insight: Understanding of voluntary carbon markets. Familiarity with carbon credit products (compliance and voluntary) is a significant advantage; we are committed to further enhancing your technical expertise through our internal team of specialists.
- Team Development: Proven track record in leading or mentoring sales professionals, with the ability to define clear targets, provide constructive feedback, and maintain team morale through high-stakes cycles.
- Cultural Leadership: A natural leader who acts as a role model—characterized by high energy, resilience, persistence, and a genuine passion for the sustainability agenda.
- Relational Intelligence: High emotional and social intelligence, with a demonstrated ability to read complex room dynamics and build rapport across all organizational levels.
- Global Reach: Experience operating within international organizations, ideally at the EMEA level.
- Language Proficiency: Advanced proficiency (C1 level) in both Dutch and English, both written and spoken (essential). Additional language (French / Italian or German) is an advantage.
- Digital Proficiency: Advanced user of CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and office productivity suites (MS Office / Google Workspace).
