Join our team as a Logistic Center Technician and play a key role in ensuring smooth logistics operations. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, cleaning, testing, and storing temperature-controlled shippers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in warehouse activities. Additionally, you will serve as a back-up driver in absence of the dedicated driver, handling the pickup and delivery of shippers between the logistics center and client locations, maintaining high safety standards, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. This is a shift-based role, with two fixed options:
- Early shift: 06:00–15:00
- Day shift: 08:00–17:00
Each shift includes a 1-hour break.
What we expect from you:
- Perform the receipt, testing, and processing of incoming temperature-controlled shippers.
- Handle shipment processing in Cryoportal 2.0 following standard operating procedures.
- Clean and maintain shippers to uphold pharmaceutical standards.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts for fixed assets and consumables.
- Maintain accurate and real-time job-related paperwork.
- Operate mechanical equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and handcarts safely.
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in client audits and facility presentations when required.
- In the absence of the dedicated driver, perform deliveries, following assigned routes and schedules.
- Load, unload, inspect, and operate delivery vehicles.
- Use Samsera Software for logs and reports.
- Follow DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety standards.
- Ensure safety precautions are followed during transit and warehouse operations.
Your daily duties
- Receive, inspect, clean, and test temperature-controlled shippers.
- Process shipments using Cryoportal 2.0 in line with SOPs and work instructions.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and proper documentation.
- Operate mechanical equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support logistics operations.
- Participate in audits and facility presentations when needed.
If you hold a valid Class B driver’s license and are comfortable driving, you may occasionally support short delivery routes (less than a day) as a back-up driver—only if you’re in agreement.
We're looking for someone with:
- HAVO (Hoger Algemeen Voortgezet Onderwijs) or Higher General Secondary Education or VWO (Voorbereidend Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs) or Pre-university Education
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and integrity.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Chrome/Edge and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Physical ability to lift up to 20 kg and perform frequent physical activity.
- Experience with inventory control, shipping, and receiving preferred.
- Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, Lean Six Sigma, or Kanban is a plus.
