Airios is looking for an Electronics Development Engineer to strengthen our hardware team in Veldhoven.

Our products are embedded electronics circuit boards that either are delivered as a semi-final PCBA or complete box-build and packaged product. Part of our production takes place in our own production facility, where we focus on low to mid-volume production.

Your role
As an Electronics Development Engineer, you will be part of our hardware team of 8 engineers within a multidisciplinary R&D organization of 40 specialists.
You play a key role in both new product development (NPI) and improving existing designs, with a strong focus on analysis, robustness, and problem-solving in complex electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and develop electrical schematics and PCB layouts (power, digital, RF, antennas)
· Translate system requirements into robust and reliable hardware solutions
· Build and validate prototypes together with test engineers (including certification)
· Perform root cause analysis on design, production, and field issues
· Drive design improvements based on data, analysis, and testing insights
· Collaborate closely with system, software, and production engineers
· Optimize designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency
Education and experience
We are looking for an engineer who combines hands-on design skills with strong analytical capabilities:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar
· Up to 5 years of experience in electronics development
· Experience with wireless technologies (e.g., 868MHz, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NB-IoT)
· Preferably experience in RF design and testing
· Familiarity with structured design methodologies (e.g., DFSS)
