We started on the festival grounds. When Lowlands asked us to create the ultimate sustainable late-night snack, we came up with something special: plant-based kebab made from locally grown celeriac and wheat. What began as a wild festival idea quickly became a favourite among hungry crowds across the Netherlands.
After the success of our restaurant in Utrecht, we’re now opening a new spot: Bar Karma at NDSM in Amsterdam. Expect great food, lively nights, fun events and plenty of memorable adventures.
To make this all happen, we’re looking for an energetic team that loves hospitality, enjoys working together and gets excited about creating unforgettable moments for guests.
Who we are looking for:

Kitchen staff
You’ve got some serious kitchen skills!
Taking responsibility for your part of the kitchen; keeping it clean and tidy
Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment, working methods and HACCP standards is key
Monitoring service quality, presentation and speed of service
(2 years of kitchen experience required)
Chef de parti
You run the grill or the cold section like no other
You are able to direct 1 or 2 kitchen staff to carry out standardized tasks
Actively participate in high-level food service
You keep the team motivated and lead by example
You are responsible for your section
(4 years of kitchen experience required)
Stewarding
The dishwashing kitchen is yours! You are the most important person to keep our service running smoothly.
Keep it clean, keep it organized
Be a nice person
(no hospitality experience required)
Sous-chef / second in command
You support the head chef in managing the kitchen and daily operations
You oversee multiple sections and ensure smooth coordination during service
You are able to direct and manage kitchen staff to carry out standardized tasks
Actively participate in high-level food service
You keep the team motivated and lead by example
You are responsible for maintaining quality, consistency, and kitchen standards
You assist in training and developing the kitchen team
You take responsibility in the absence of the head chef
