As Team Lead Service Engineering, you will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of Service Engineers who provide critical technical support to our global service organization. Your team delivers expertise in modifications, upgrades, troubleshooting, and service engineering support for machines in the field.
You ensure that service engineering activities are delivered with the right quality, capacity, and continuity, while acting as a key liaison between Engineering, Service, and Field Operations.
You report to the Service Manager and work closely with the Team Lead Field Service to ensure seamless alignment between engineering and execution.

Inspire, coach, and develop a team of Mechanical, Electrical, and Hardware Service Engineers

Conduct performance and appraisal reviews

Ensure the right skills, knowledge, and team capacity are in place

Identify training needs and initiate development programs

Play an active role in recruiting and onboarding new engineers

Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement

Take ownership of the quality and completeness of all service engineering deliverables

Plan, assign, and prioritize service engineering work

Monitor capacity, planning, deadlines, and progress

Coordinate engineering input with Project Managers for service projects

Collaborate closely with Field Service to ensure smooth execution in the field

Support technical escalations and complex customer issues

Track progress, quality, and reporting of service activities

Provide clear reporting to the Service Manager on performance and bottlenecks

Initiate and lead improvements in service engineering processes

Drive initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, and lead times

Actively contribute ideas that strengthen the service organization as a whole

Ensure engineering work complies with safety, health, and quality standards

Make sure technical solutions are safe to apply in the field

Proactively identify and mitigate safety risks in designs

Bachelor's (HBO) level education or equivalent in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or similar

Several years of experience in a technical engineering role within machine building or service
-
Proven leadership experience or a strong ambition to grow into a leadership role

Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Ability to maintain overview and set priorities in a dynamic environment
